Today ‘adventure’ is a profession for Debra but her passion for adventure and the outdoors was kindled many years ago during her days at Stover School. Superbly positioned on the edge of Dartmoor, Debra spent most weekends hill walking on the moors. As a youngster Debra successfully completed both Bronze and Silver Ten Tors Expeditions and her Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. By the age of 16 Debra was fascinated by explorers such as Ranulph Finnes and Chris Bonnington and dreamed of one day being able to make a living out of expeditions in the way that they have.

For 15 years canoeing and kayaking have played a big part in Debra's life. It's always there in one form or another... long races, short races, playing in the surf or teaching kids to paddle. The highlight was partnering old friend Bruce Parry in the Worlds Longest Canoe Race, filmed by the BBC. More | Gallery | Movie
