Would you ever say any of these about one of your friends or loved ones? Of course you wouldn’t!
This week’s Choose Your Attitude Show is about how to end negative self-talk. I’ve found that this kind of negativity is a form of self-sabotage and can become a self-fulfilling prophecy. It’s summed up in this formula:
What we think affects what we feel
What we feel affects how we act
How we act leads to the result
Think – Feel – Act = RESULT
By learning how to hijack this formula and to control the ‘think’ section, we can change the result. It could be finally getting that promotion, spending more time with your children, achieving that PB or just having a really productive day. I hope I’ve got your mind racing about the things that could be possible if we could just stop denigrating ourselves.
In the Show I share the three steps I use to take control of my thinking. I also share 3 back up plans to use on the days where it feels really, really tough.
It’s time to change the conversation we are having with ourselves and become aware of just how much our inner voice boosts or limits our progress.
